Bulk filtering and validation

Advanced Lookup for Power BI

Paste lookup lists, apply native tuple filters, and keep unmatched values visible.

  • Paste one or more lookup rows instead of selecting values one at a time
  • Match one to five fields as native Power BI tuple filters
  • Review matched and unmatched inputs, counts, related values, and CSV output

Capabilities

Purpose-built analysis without leaving the report

Advanced Lookup is a Power BI custom visual for pasted lookup lists, multi-column tuple filtering, unmatched-value review, fallback filters, match counts, and CSV export.

Multi-column tuple lookup

Match combinations such as X/Y coordinates, part and lot, or document title and revision across one to five fields.

Unmatched-value visibility

Keep every input row visible, including pasted values that do not exist in the current Power BI data context.

Native Power BI filtering

Apply lookup rows as a tuple filter so other visuals on the report page respond to the selected combinations.

Results and counts

Review matching status, match counts, and configured related result-column values without leaving the report.

Fallback filtering

Apply a controlled fallback when no user-entered lookup is active, preventing an unintended all-data state.

CSV export

Download the visual results table, including matched and unmatched lookup rows, match counts, and related values.

Typical workflows

Designed for real analytical work

  • Bulk filtering from copied spreadsheet lists
  • Coordinate, part, lot, serial, document, and revision lookup
  • Validating which requested values exist in the current data
  • Preventing reports from showing unrestricted data before a lookup is entered
  • Exporting lookup outcomes for follow-up and reconciliation
